Moodle Update Summer 2025
During the summer of 2025, Instructional Technology Services updated Moodle to version 4.5.5 for the 2025-2026 academic year. This version of Moodle has several new features.
- New icons for Moodle activities and resources indicate file type.
- Topics are now called custom sections.
- There is an option to add subsections within weeks or custom sections for improved organization and navigation.
- Email notifications for students remind them of upcoming assignments and quizzes and overdue assignments.
